According to MCV, Sony are spending more on their Vita advertising between now and Christmas than they did during the launch of the console earlier in the year.
The device hasn’t been selling as well as predictions expected it to and some market analysts had painted a not particularly rosey future for the Vita, but with a strong showing at Gamescom on Monday and some new big name titles making their way to the handheld in the coming months, Sony hope that they can push for sales during the busiest season.
“Our comprehensive TV plan kicks off in September and will run in key bursts to Christmas, focusing on the new titles. Our first ad will feature FIFA 13 and LittleBigPlanet.” SCE UK’s senior product manager Ian Vinten told MCV.
