Sony shuts down 4 online game servers

Sony have announced that 4 more games will have their servers shut down from 1st October 2012.

Motorstorm Pacific Rift on PS3, Motorstorm Arctic Edge, SOCOM Fireteam Bravo and Eye Of Judgement Legends on PSP are all going offline for good.

The single player games will be unaffected by the shutdown, but any trophies that are online-specific for Pacific Rift will have to be unlocked before the October cut off date.

While companies like Sony and EA lose some fans by shutting down servers for older games, this needs to be done in order to create space and bandwidth for newer titles.
