EA kicks off Gamescom a day early with media briefing today.

EA will be holding a media briefing ahead of their Gamescom coverage today at 3pm BST.

The briefing precedes the official Gamescom opening by a day , as with Capcom and Sony and EA will be streaming the conference on their website after the event has finished.

The wording on the event invite reads:

“You can look forward to gameplay demos, trailers and exciting news about Need For Speed, FIFA 13, SimCity, Medal of Honor … there might even be a few surprise announcements.”

Whilw Gamescom isn’t usually home to the same sort of reveals as E3, we’re still expecting a few big announcements from EA either today or in tomorrow’s keynote speech from Frank Gibeau.
