Minecraft coming to Xbox One this Friday, possibly PS4 as well

Mojang’s excellent block building game is finally appearing on Xbox One this Friday, according to Major Nelson (aka Larry Hryb) with a discount for those who own the 360 version. Edit: and the PS4 version has now been made available with a similar upgrade price to those who already own the disc and digital versions.

Nintendo reveals Mario Kart DLC with Link, Animal Crossing and new stages

Nintendo have revealed two DLC packs arriving in November for Mario Kart 8 on their site. The two £7 packs are split into a Zelda themed pack and an Animal Crossing themed pack, with a character and stage based on each game.

Rise of the Tomb Raider is a ‘timed’ Xbox exclusive

The biggest surprise of Gamescom 2014 came from the Microsoft show, where Square Enix and Microsoft’s exclusive deal on the new Tomb Raider game was announced. Rise of the Tomb Raider, sequel to the well received multi-platform Tomb Raider game, will be an exclusive on both Xbox Platforms in 2015.
